Dominique M. Campbell is a multi-hyphenate artist, social entrepreneur, and cultural organizer from Detroit, Michigan with the mission, musical and otherwise, to impact and inspire lives in a meaningful way, and contribute positive vibrations and love in the world. She seamlessly blends the worlds of music, social enterprise, cultural organizing, and community engagement to push people and culture forward.

Artistically known as Nique Love Rhodes, she is a dynamic hip-hop recording artist, songwriter, and performer with a decade of experience within the music industry. She has has independently released multiple albums, and has toured and performed extensively with her live band, the nlr experience, at major festivals and venues including South by Southwest Music Festival (Texas), North by Northeast Music Festival (Toronto), Dally in the Alley (Detroit), Quai des Brumes (Montreal), arts beats & eats (Michigan), and the Nuyorican Poets Café (New York City). Dominique has had her music licensed by entities such as the NFL, ESPN, Madison square garden networks, and others.

As a social entrepreneur, she is the co-founder of a D.Cipher, a music mastermind collective non-profit dedicated to advancing the Detroit music economy through collaboration and partnerships. d.cipher connects musicians to resources and information needed to thrive in their career and connects communities to live music. To date, D.Cipher has invested over $60k into Michigan’s independent music community. D.Cipher’s latest venture is the development of D.Cipher Studios, a sonic hub serving local Detroit musicians and international visitors. Dedicated to boosting Michigan’s music economy, the space will be accessible 24/7 for band rehearsal, audio recording/podcasting, music production and recording, and live events.

Dominique is also the founder of Rise Up Higher, an initiative to use music as a tool for social good to empower youth, advocate for mental wellness, and support local organizations dedicated to addressing social justice issues. This work builds on the empowering themes found in her music, and allows her to connect and inspire people in a tangible way outside of music.

Dominique works closely with various mission-driven organizations through her consulting company + idea hub culture since 88, which focuses on maximizing social impact through creativity, community engagement, and sharing ideas.

through her consulting work, she has worked with organizations such as Citizendetroit, the Kresge foundation, and has lectured and shared ideas at the hip-hop literacies conference at Ohio state university, the urban literacies conference at Michigan state university, the American musicological society conference, and the detroit Wayne integrated health network.

Dominique is a graduate of Spring Arbor University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Ministry, a trans-disciplinary program she created that is a blend of theology, philosophy, urban sociology, and psychology which is now offered as an official program by the university.
